She taught Thomas Quackenbush and other Modern Natural Vision Improvement Teachers the Original and Modern Bates Method. Clark Night was taught by Thomas Quackenbush and has studied the Janet Goodrich Method through her books and gained 20/20 and clearer close and distant vision.
Dr. Bates stated his method is continually being improved upon and many Bates Teachers, Behavioral Optometrists, Scientists, Natural Healers have added to his method over the years, Janet Goodrich and family being a major contributor. The Practical Guide to Natural Vision Improvement. It's great!She teaches in the most completely natural way, every activity is relaxing, easy to do. I am learning many new modern treatments along with the original method for maintaining my clear vision and teaching others how to obtain clear vision;

Special Note: I do not teach Artificial 3-D Fusion Eye Exercises.
Some teachers use this but it must be done a certain way, (only if needed) or it can impair convergence, divergence if done incorrect, too much, or as a eye exercise or, for some people, if their is a slight or advanced strabismus or other eye, medical problem. Done correct, there are people that have benefited from this method. I advise asking a Bates Method Behavioral Optometrist for guidance. Follow your teachers, Doctor's directions. These additional 3-D Fusion exercises are not mandatory to gain vision improvement. It was not taught by Ophthalmologist Bates. There are plenty of other activities, methods to gain clear, balanced vision, straight eyes in the books, courses.

The Janet Goodrich school has been teaching Natural Vision Improvement for many years and teaches some fusion activities with a

3-D effect. Follow Carina's directions if you plan to try this. She gives help to students, will answer questions. She also teaches other activities for removing Strabismus: crossed, wandering eyes.

    Some Behavioral Optometrists/Ophthalmologists and experienced Natural Vision Improvement Teachers teach forms of these Artificial 3-D Fusion Exercises with beneficial results. The Method has helped correct imperfect Divergence, Convergence eye conditions (Strabismus, Fusion) when applied correct, (if the Bates Method alone does not correct the condition first). It must be practiced with the Guidance of your Natural Vision Improvement Teacher and Bates Method Behavioral Optometrist/Ophthalmologist.
   The Teacher, Eye Doctor will teach the student which exercises, activities are to be done for specific conditions, distances that the students eyes movement, convergence, divergence, fusion... need improvement.
   The doctor may have the student practice with the 3-D image card placed at a variety of close, middle, far distances, fusing the two images into a 3rd by looking at a variety of different close distances/objects before the card and a variety of different far distances/objects beyond the card.
Spacing between the two images may be at a variety of lengths. Merging, fusing images that are further apart being accomplished with advanced fusion training if needed. How many, length of time, each or only some of these activities, routines are practiced is determined by the student’s condition: divergence or convergence impairment, degree of impairment and other eye conditions.
    Only a professional can prescribe a safe, correct, precise routine. Practicing too much at one distance, one activity or for the wrong distance… can impair divergence, convergence. Accommodation, un-accommodation work, occur with the eyes fusion, divergence, convergence. All are affected, improved or impaired, when the exercises are done correct or incorrect.
   These activities do produce a natural 3-D effect created by the eyes, brain. Seeing the correct fused image indicates the brain, eyes are working together. I call these Artificial 3-D because it is not the normal way the person uses the eyes to see an object clear.
True completely natural 3-D vision for healthy eyes, brain function occurs when looking directly at the object of visual attention, at the distance the object is at, mind, eyes on/at that object, distance.
      Try the Bates Method first: relaxation, central fixation, shifting may be all that is needed.
